Become engineer of the future

Prospective students

Are you interested in studying at our ETIT faculty? Whether you are still at school, have just completed your high school, are still doing an apprenticeship or would like to know what electrical engineering and information technology actually is - you can find all the information and contacts here.

What do electrical and information technology engineers actually do?

With the global challenges of our time, engineers in electrical engineering and information technology make a decisive contribution to the sustainable development of technical solutions. They deal with topics such as:

  •     The transport and energy transition with e-mobility and renewable energies
  •     Autonomous driving of networked vehicles
  •     Changes in information and communication technology
  •     Further development of the semiconductor industry

And the career prospects for engineers in electrical engineering and information technology are excellent! Demographic change is leading to an increased demand for young engineers with a high level of commitment and many innovative ideas in this field in particular, which will enable us to overcome the major global challenges.

What are the personal requirements for a successful course of study?

Do I have to have an A in math and physics to complete the Bachelor's degree?

NO - on the Bachelor's degree course you will learn all the important basics, can take part in preliminary courses before starting your studies and learn together with other students in our tutorials during your studies! Our student advisory service is also on hand to help you with any questions or problems you may have.

What you should bring with you: a basic understanding of mathematics and enjoy logical thinking. However, a certain grade is not required.

A contribution to sustainability

Engineers make an essential contribution to the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals:

  •     Industry, innovation and infrastructure
  •     Affordable and clean energy
  •     Sustainable cities and communities
  •     climate protection measures
  •     quality education
  •     decent work and economic growth
  •     sustainable production

This is what our
students say:

"I particularly like the proximity to the lecturers and the atmosphere in the lectures and tutorials. The support in the tutorial makes it easier to start studying!" - Olga, ETIT
